The Transit Chassis Double Cab is designed to effortlessly move both cargo and your team, perfect if you need a crew and van conversion.

Available in long to extra-long wheelbases, and built with a robust ladder-frame chassis the Transit Chassis Double Cab provides a flat, strong base on which to build your perfect crew van conversion. And with a new 5-Tonne model available, you have a flat, strong base on which to build your perfect vehicle, however you like, with up to 2,960 kg of payload on the chassis cab range and still have room for up to six passengers.

Wide-opening doors provide easy access to the intelligently designed interior. The back row of seats can be lifted to reveal stowage for your tools, laptops or other equipment you want to keep hidden. And the middle seat in the front row can be folded flat to be used as a handy work surface.

The new 5-Tonne GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) variant brings the greatest payload capacity ever to the Transit Chassis Cab, letting you efficiently carry a payload of up to 2,960 kg.

This extra strength makes the 5-Tonne an ideal candidate for heavy conversions. And with all current Chassis Cab wheelbases available (L3, L5), it delivers the ultimate versatility for whatever you need.

CONFIDENCE IN CHANGEABLE CONDITIONS

Icy winter roads, muddy access tracks – wherever your business takes you, All-Wheel Drive (AWD) gives you the confidence to go there. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is a torque on demand system delivering surefooted progress over challenging surfaces. At the touch of a button or in response to driving conditions, AWD keeps you and your cargo squarely on the road. And for a weight gain of just -60kg, you get added versatility without sacrificing payload.

RANGE OF ENGINES

With a range of advanced hybrid or diesel powertrains, the Transit Chassis Double Cab is the perfect blend of power and efficiency. The four 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines offer up to 170 PS of horsepower and 415 Nm of torque. For the first time, you can also choose a Ford EcoBlue Hybrid powertrain, helping maximise efficiency and minimise emissions. And to meet the stringent emissions regulations, the Transit Chassis Double Cab is also available with a 130 PS or 170 PS Heavy Duty diesel engine.

ROOM FOR THE CREW

Transit Chassis Double Cab is a great solution for moving both crew and load at the same time. Wide-opening doors provide easy access to the spacious, well thought-out interior. While the dual front passenger seat and standard rear quad seat together offer comfortable accommodation for up to seven occupants, including plenty of under seat stowage possibilities. Perfect if you need a crew van conversion.

LANE-KEEPING SYSTEM

The Lane Keeping System uses a forward-looking camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of lane. Lane Keeping Aid provides gentle steering torque assistance to help guide you back into your lane. If your wheel touches the line or edge of the road, Lane Keeping Alert vibrates the steering wheel and displays a visual warning. The technology automatically deactivates at speeds below 64 km/h, or can be turned off manually.

TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM

If any of your Transit Chassis Double Cab’s tyres starts to lose pressure during your journey, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System warns you immediately if there’s a puncture by lighting up an icon on the instrument panel.

POWER-FOLDABLE MIRRORS

To avoid accidental damage, power-foldable mirrors fold inwards when you’re parked. Tucked back, they also protect the stylish integrated indicators.
